According to first reports, authorities came to the site after they received information about a vehicle that had entered an area intended mainly for pedestrian passage. When they arrived, they found his truck stopped at the stands and his driver still at the place.
The man would have explained that he was simply following his GPS and that his route marked by Google Maps led him to that point. Nevertheless, reports have also been submitted that the driver may be under the effect of alcohol and that information will have to be confirmed by the competent authorities.
The situation gave rise to surprise at social networks, where users began to discuss how closely they should be relying on navigation applications, especially as the route was clearly incompatible with vehicle traffic.

Although GPS systems can be a great help, this case once again recalls something basic: no application substitutes for the driver's care and an assessment of what really happens to the steering wheel.
A wrong path, a step and an explanation that quickly became viral: "I just followed the GPS."
