A technological presentation by Qualcomm ended up starring an unexpected viral moment after a humanoid robot collapsed to the public during a live demonstration at Computex 2026, Taipéi.
The robot had entered the stage while carrying a plate and was part of a demonstration related to the Robotic Dragonwing IQ10. A few seconds later, however, it seemed to stop suddenly before falling forward.
The unexpected moment during presentation
The fall surprised both the public and the demonstration team. While the presenter was still talking, several workers quickly entered the stage to try and cover the robot and remove it from the place.
The situation became even more striking as staff had difficulties with lifting the machine. Part of the robot remained visible while moved out of stage, leading to a great number of comments and jokes on social networks.

Qualcomm explain what happened
Qualcomm later stated that the incident was caused by a brief communication problem that activated a prototype failure.
According to the company, the robot run a controlled shutdown sequence called "secure-collapse"designed to reduce the risk of damage to people or objects around them.
The company stated that security systems worked as planned and that information collected during the incident will be used to improve the reliability of future robotic platforms.

The contrast between advanced artificial intelligence and an unexpected fall of the robot quickly transformed the video into viral content.
